Isn't what you think it is
She sacrifices herself

She'll do some things

Pushing away what's not good for you

Try to pay your bills

The rich are rich
They stay that way
Let's limit poverty
That's not the American way

The Black Woman

The Black Woman had to be strong years
She's raised a family
She's shed many tears
She held her head high
She's been broken and abused
She overcame the masters abuse

She learned to be strong
They took the husband away
She held her head high
She's built this way

She sees her strength
She uses her weakness at its best
She sees rights and wrong
She shows love in distress

She's built to last
She stood the ultimate test
This woman I speak of
She was built to be her best
