Consciousness

Consciousness

What is this thing we call consciousness? Consciousness according the Miriam Webster is the quality or state of being aware especially of something within oneself, the state or fact of being conscious of an external object, state, or fact,  an awareness. The state of being characterized by sensation, emotion, volition, and thought, mind. My definition of consciousness would be the ability of one to be self-aware, while also being able to perceive various things in any given environment, while not being taken off task or have someone’s else’s thoughts processes to interfere with one’s own. Knowing thyself is the key.  It can always also be considered the ability to control one’s emotions. This is total control of oneself.

We are spiritual or energy beings. The bible states that Strong meat belongs to those that by having exercised their senses have they been able to discern both good and evil. This basically translates to being able to read a person and know their intentions, without even have an in-depth knowledge of the person. The intuition is given for a reason. Women tend to be naturally more perceptive than men. Estrogen serves more purposes than one may think. It is in having control of one’s thoughts and emotions that is the key element in consciousness.

To understand the mind and consciousness is a wonderful thing. Many have experienced things at some point in life, that has impeded a person’s ability to accurately perceive. There are emotions attached to various experiences in life. These experiences trap or compartmentalize our emotions. It is not our experiences that hinder our ability to perceive or be conscious, but the associated feelings and emotions. The way we feel about an experience or subject is the thing that causes positive or negative emotions or thoughts.

When we gain the ability to speak about a subject and do not allow negative emotions or thoughts to manifest, this is how we know we are over a thing. It is ideal to be mindful of how we feel, that removes the power an experience has over our lives. Consciousness increases as we gain wisdom in life. One must be mindful of their thoughts, emotions, and intentions. Even in times where life happens and we get angry, self-control is very important.

We are predisposed to being inadvertently affected by the mindset of those we are surrounded if we are not diligently aware. Mindfulness is a practice that can increase our levels of awareness and clear our minds throughout the day. Deep breathing can release mental tension and increase clarity, when exposed to stressful situations. Be in control and do not allow situations to control you.

For those of us who are conscious, we must be in control of the knowledge we are in possession of. Integrity is the main component. It is not what you are in possession of, but how we use our knowledge. Knowledge is power, but with knowledge we must be responsible for our thoughts, behaviors, and actions. Be a person of integrity and do what is right, even when no one is watching.

The Way To Happiness

                                      Words Have Meaning
                                    Look Beyond The Obvious

First, for the 45 years I have been in the world, I have developed a mindset of growth. As we evolve we should learn we no longer have to settle. Mindset is everything! I am an African American Woman. Life has given me my own truth. Seeing now the normal ideals of my family, was not normal for me. African Americans were indoctrinated with a certain mindset many years ago. We must unlearn the stigmas and things of our Ancestors.

Youth

At an early age, our minds are shaped by the things we see others do and say. Teach children to have a growth mindset! I am mindful of what I say to children. Putting a negative thought in their mind, molds the way they see themselves. Personally, I only leave a positive thought. We all should. It should be expected that we lead younger persons by example. After-all, these are our future leaders of America. Be a good role model for our youth to see. Teach them to think positive about themselves.

Living

We each choose the things we experience. As hard as it sounds to believe. Each of us have the ability to change the direction life is taking us. Treating others as we want to be treated is something I believe we could all benefit from. We are each born free and equal. Human Rights is a fundamental right we as Americans have. Sometimes we get caught up in the day to day things that we forget this simple liberty we have been born with. The ability to express ourselves from religious convictions, is a Human Right! Telling the truth about things we experience is a freedom we are born with. Refuse to believe everything you hear. Search for your truth.

Next, Human Beings are the most fascinating beings in the world. We have the ability to bounce back from life’s trials and become a better person. We learn to be more resilient and make better decisions that can help us have a better future. It is in having been awakened to the many truth’s in life, that my mind evolved to higher levels of understanding. Winning in life is just the beginning of many great things to come.

Now, ten years ago my mind changed. People have awakened to the world around them. I sought truth. Ultimately, I cultivated my mind. What truth have you searched for? Living in mediocrity is no longer good enough. I am striving to become more educated and obtain knowledge. Things we face in life can make us better or bitter. Understanding in life is a most valuable asset. Seek to have a mindset of growth.

I have traveled for five years. I was learning to practice for my future career. In the future, I will complete my PsyD. It was in experiencing things at an early age an unlearning negative behavior; I discovered who I am in God. Our mindset can be changed. Human Beings are born consciously aware. Many times we believe what is said about us and don”t search for the answers ourselves. As you learn, grow and overcome obstacles in life, you will see what you are capable of accomplishing.

I have a love for politics after overcoming many challenges. Find your own unique voice and walk in your truth. This will be the most enlightening experience in this world. Stop listening to those who limit your possibilities in life. You will discover the only limitations you have in life, are the ones you hide in your mind. Learn the sound of your own voice. That’s the voice you will be lead by. Have the mindset of a leader.

Refuse to Accept No In LIFE! Look beyond what your eyes see.

Lastly, there is more to life than meets the Eye!

Get Your Mind Right

I watch daily the behavior of others as well as my own. It amazes me how some will doubt your intellectual ability, while you have already shown yourself to be capable of getting a job done. It has been in San Francisco that my mindset has shifted and increased significantly, because of the many I encounter with mental health issues.

Knowing that one must cultivate their inherent abilities, many will never reach their fullest potential because they are incapable of seeking knowledge and educating themselves. I guess it is easy to be like everyone else, while we were each created to be different. A great mind is a terrible thing to waste, while an average mind seems to make society function at low levels.

I find that many will attempt to use sex as a means to gain favor. If it is not going anywhere, what is the purpose? You can have sex and if it does not satisfy your intellect and add increase to your character, what purpose does it really serve? In all things you must seek to add increase to your inherent ability and increase your mindset to become better, stronger and wiser.

In any given thing make sure it helps you to GROW. If your not growing you are becoming complacent or stagnant in mediocrity. This is not what life is about. I see how as a young woman I was foolish and immature. These are the same things I would look for in choosing a  mate. If your mind is where mine was when I was 18, I would not seek to have you in my close personal company.

I realize there is a very different culture in California, but that does not mean I want to conform to said behaviors. I would rather take my intelligence elsewhere and start over than to waste my abilities on things of no significance. Choose love over hate and mental maturity over complacency. We were created to do Great things in life.

Choose to do something meaningful, rather than waste your time playing mind games of no significance. Get Your Mind Right!

Responding and not Reacting

My morning started out somewhat strange. I got ready as usual and had breakfast. I observed a lady that has displayed sexually aggressive behavior on numerous occasions, with regard to myself. She had walked past the breakfast table and was stating "Leave her alone she doesn't want to be bothered". I can only assume she was speaking about me, because of what had transpired shortly thereafter.

I was getting prepared for church and leaving out as I start my day off early, like clockwork each morning. In my present environment, I am mindful that there are some women that have been raped or psychologically traumatized at some point in there life. Their behavior displays aberration, which means someone has inflicted mental anguish upon them, that causes their behavior. At any given time a person has the ability to recall said events, within their mind that can make them behave irrationally.

This particular woman I am speaking of, obviously had a smell, sound or even looked at someone that triggered her emotional response. Since I did not partake in her foolishness, she became very aggressive and hostile towards me. I told her "I do not want to talk, go on". Now this obviously pissed her off. When a person has negative intent, they will become hostile towards you. It is not anything you have done to them, but what they could not do to you.

I am mindful that not everyone has good intentions and I certainly did not come to San Francisco to waste my time. This same woman has on several mornings, came out of the shower with nothing on. Now this is something, I do not want to see. Some believe sex is the way to accomplish things in life, when it is not. She has behaved somewhat predatory. I now know this is her state of mind and she could use medication to decrease her sexually aggressive and disruptive behavior towards others.

It is never acceptable to disturb another person's peace, for the sake of obtaining favor. I suppose one would also have to be sane to grasp this concept. Some of the person's I have encountered attempt to bully others, because they have no ambition or life force that drives them to do anything positive in their own lives. Knowing that the knowledge I obtained in Scientology can help some, some will never be clear to be what we consider normal.

While I always have an optimistic view on life, I am also aware that some minds would be harder to fix than others.

In the meantime, Get Your Mind Right and Have a Wonderful Day!

Always being aware of your environment

You should always be aware of your environment. It can not only be harmful to you mentally but spiritually, if you are unaware. At any given time you must shield your thoughts from environmental factors. Put on your Armor. It is in having been in unpleasant places that gave me more insight on how the mind truly works. We are supposed to live in the present, however we also must be aware at all times. You could become acclimated to any given surrounding, if you don't remain focused. It takes training of mind.

I suppose one could say years of being in dysfunction gave me a significant amount of insight on this very subject. It is having removed myself from the familiar that I came to truly understand self. I guess when you change those that you associate yourself with, that are not moving in a positive direction, you come to realize how they can affect your mind. Monkey mind is the not knowing how the mind works. I love my family, but monkey mind is money mind. Not good for my mindset at all.

Your normal pattern of thinking tends to change as you grow an cultivate your abilities. You grow each day if you focus on something that increases your knowledge. You can take even the smallest thing and learn something. Even if its the way someone continues to display sexually aggressive behavior. Take for instance being in a women's shelter. Many of the women have been incarcerated and have been subjected to rape or trauma. They project this same behavior off on others. They believe in their own minds, that forcing things upon someone else, is the way to get ahead. This would in fact be wrong.

I have also encountered those that study the wrong religious doctrine. They believe projecting negative energy off on others will get them what they want. Energy is like a reflective mirror. The energy you put out, will be returned unto you. You reap what you sow. Project positive energy and it shall be returned. Not saying my doctrine is the right one, but it is right for me. It also allows for you to cultivate a positive character. Your character is what dictates the future you will have. Good intentions are everything with regard to life. Always remember that!

The Team

                              The Team

There is no "I" in "team." There's also no "I" in "teamwork." Teamwork is not about a single person; it is about a group of people—at least two—who put their heads together and get the job done. A team can come up with the solution to a problem or separate, assign, and tackle all the elements of a project.

Together, a team shares its members' strengths and provides support for any members' potential weaknesses. The team is greater than the sum of its parts. All its members share responsibility and, ideally, share the rewards that result from their hard work.

The other element of teamwork is work. Being a member of a team is not always easy. It takes effort, responsibility, and strength to work alongside other people toward a common goal. Individual team members need to put their egos aside and contribute to the work of their team. Sometimes, that can mean doing work a person does not want to do or does not feel suited for—whether this means making copies, setting up phone calls, or delivering bad news—but it can have positive effects, too. When working with a team, people can accomplish more than they likely could on their own.

A Team is only as good as the sum of all its parts!

Loyalty is Everything!
