Parapsychology is the study of paranormal and psychic phenomena, including telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, near-death experiences, synchronicity, reincarnation, apparition experiences, and other paranormal claims.

Telepathy, direct transference of thought from one person (sender or agent) to another (receiver or percipient) without using the usual sensory channels of communication, hence a form of extrasensory perception (ESP).

It refers to the supposed ability to perceive the thoughts of others without the use of recognized senses. The term was first used in 1882 by psychologist, F W Myers.
