Being on the Streets

I have observed many people that are homeless. They are actually kind people. I never thought any different, however many people believe they can all be grouped and categorized one way. I see that we are like everyone else. I became one of those people after leaving my moms and visiting a friend.

I made a decision to have something better in my life. I wasn't sure what I was facing, but I leaped out on faith and headed to Atlanta. I was undecided about Atlanta and California. I just know that if things do not happen in ATL, I will go see what California has to offer.

I speak with many people. Many men and women have had small things to occur and had their life change significantly. Some may have been driving an 18 wheeler and lost their license. That caused them to lose their job and have them in the present situation.

I have spoken with others that were merely struggling to make ends meet. They had no support system and had children. Some people lost jobs and were laid off. Others had a sick spouse, that could no longer contribute to the household. Then there are some that moved here from another city for a better life for their children.

There are some that chose a different path than we have. That makes us no better, because we are all human beings. We learn from the environment we grew up in. Some were more fortunate than others. At the end of the day, remember if you have knowledge that you can share with someone, do so.
You never know if the information you share will help a young man or woman take a different path.

Stop using cellphones and start talking to people.
